New Technology Enhancing Grassroots Football Across North Northamptonshire
North Northamptonshire Council's, Grounds Maintenance Team have recently introduced a robotic line marker to support the preparation of football pitches across Council-managed sites. You may have seen it in use across all grass pitches in Corby recently. It was also used to mark out a 9v9 pitch on Lodge Park Sports Centre’s 3G pitch on Wednesday 9th September.
The new technology uses GPS guidance to mark football pitches with a high level of accuracy and consistency, helping to create a professional playing environment for local clubs and teams. The system also improves efficiency, allowing grounds staff to spend more time on wider pitch maintenance and presentation while delivering consistently high-quality pitch markings.
This investment forms part of our ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots football and providing safe, well-presented facilities that enhance the experience for players, officials and spectators throughout the season.
