Monday 9th to Sunday 15th February
This week, we’re proud to be supporting Children’s Mental Health Week 2026, joining schools, families, and communities across the country to shine a light on the importance of children and young people’s mental wellbeing.
Did you know that 1 in 5 children and young people experience mental health challenges? That’s why raising awareness, encouraging open conversations, and creating safe, welcoming spaces has never been more important.

This Year’s Theme: ‘This Is My Place’
The 2026 theme, ‘This Is My Place’, focuses on self-acceptance, belonging, and feeling safe whether that’s at home, in school, outdoors, or within the community.
Every child deserves a place where they feel valued, heard, and able to be themselves. This theme encourages children and young people to explore what their place means to them, while reminding adults how important it is to help create environments where children can thrive.

Why Getting Outdoors Matters
Spending time outside, moving more, and connecting with others can have a powerful impact on children’s mental health. Activities like Family Xplorer help to:
Reduce stress and anxiety
Boost mood and confidence
Strengthen family connections
Encourage a sense of belonging and achievement
Small moments—like exploring a park or completing a challenge together—can make a big difference.
