“Having never written a blog before and sat looking out my office window on a very cold, damp and dreary Monday morning, an introduction might be the best place to start. My name is Adam Smith, Leisure Manager for Priors Hall Golf Course. With that out the way and the weather giving me no inspiration, let me tell you a bit about us and what our fantastic golf course has to offer. Built in 1965 on old British steel land, following strict instructions from well renowned course architect Fred Hawtree, the course boasts 165 acres of beautiful countryside, woodland and wildlife, the perfect back drop to our stunning 18-hole golf course which offers a challenge for all.
Complimenting the course is a 1960’s classic clubhouse which retains much of the feel from that era, sprinkled with a few modern upgrades, but offering everything you need pre and post your round of golf, including a golf shop offering the latest brands, trolley and buggies hire with a fleet of fully electric golf buggies and a bar and restaurant which caters for large societies and groups to friends enjoying a nice cold drink on a warm summers day. Like all golf courses the challenges are many and varied when it comes to maintaining a course to the best possible standard, but one we try and meet head on to provide the best course and facilities we can.
As a public course, we do offer a membership, but it is not exclusive and we welcome all ages and abilities to come and give the course a go, we promise you won’t be disappointed. So if my words of encouragement have inspired you enough to dig out your grandparents old set of clubs or you’re looking for a change of scenery, please give us a call on 01536 260756 to book your round today”
