Corby Steel Diving Club

Corby East Midlands International Pool is the home of Corby Steel Diving Club (CSDC), which is a competitive diving club.

Children or adults alike are welcome join us through our lessons, learn and develop the skills needed to move through the Swim England awards, individuals are then welcome to join the CSDC.

Our dedicated head coach Warren, alongside coach Charlie and our assistant coaches Vivianne, Lucy and Eilidh deliver both lessons, club sessions and dry land training each week.

On Thursday 26^th to Sunday 29^th June, two of Corby Steel Diving Club’s divers attended the National Age Group Championships at Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham along with our head coach Warren. This is a prestigious event that the divers had been working towards all year. With the club’s first year at this level, they performed exceptionally well during qualifier events hitting the national standard well before the competition! With the club not attending this event for 6 years, the divers brought home the club’s first ever NAGs medals!

Leonard brought home 2 silvers in the Open Group D 1m and 3m. Vivianne working incredibly hard to reach this event and landed a top 10 finish in the Girls A 1m event against some very tough competition.

Both divers are now already back in the pool training for the next season!

The club now looks forward to the National Skills Finals in Southend on the 18^th to 20^th of July, where for the first time in the Club’s history, every single CSDC squad member that attended a qualifier leading up to this event has hit their qualifying score. With some big milestones hit and club history made already this year; the divers are ready to show off their hard work at this exciting competition to close out an incredible season!

Whether it’s children from 6yrs+ all the way through to our Adult Beginners and Advanced lessons. (Minimum age of 6yrs+, all must be able to swim minimum of 25m and confident in very deep water.)

Additional children’s taster sessions also have been added as part of our summer holiday programme these are running on;

Monday 28^th July, Monday 4^th & Monday 11^th August at 2.30pm.
